This year, 2009, is the 250th anniversary of Robert Burns’s birth in Alloway in Ayrshire.  Best known all over the world for the song Auld Lang Syne, he wrote over 5000 other works many of which have been translated.

To celebrate this important anniversary, BURNS SUPPER was commissioned as a musical to celebrate the life and legacy of Robert Burns. The musical is expected to be premiered by the Scottish National Youth Theatre during the Edinburgh Festival in 2009.

The musical is now available free to all schools throughout the world for performance in 2009. In addition, schools will be encouraged to make a film of their show for entry in a competition organised by First Scottish Film Features.
